How do we know that Jesus is necessary for salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

Jesus is necessary for salvation because He alone is the appointed Savior who fulfilled the requirements of God's justice and holiness.

The necessity of Jesus for salvation is rooted in both the attributes of God and the condition of humanity. God is holy and just, requiring that sin be adequately addressed. Jesus, as fully God and fully man, came to satisfy God's justice by living a perfect life and dying as a substitute for sinners. The Scriptures repeatedly declare that there is no other name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). When we place our faith in Jesus, we acknowledge Him as the only acceptable sacrifice for sin and the only mediator between God and man. Salvation is thus found exclusively through Him, as taught in John 14:6 where Jesus claims, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.'
