How do we know that Jesus is on the right ship?

Jesus makes it clear that to be on the correct ship, the church must focus on Him and His word. In John 5:39, He tells the Pharisees they search the Scriptures, thinking that eternal life is found in them, yet it testifies about Him. Thus, the sign of a true ship with Christ is that it is centered on His Word, devoid of man-made traditions or ceremonies. The ship that leads to safe passage to the other side glorifies Christ alone, relying solely on Him for salvation and not on works or human efforts.
