How do we know that Jesus is our covenant man?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our covenant man because He stands as our covenant surety, agreeing to fulfill all the demands of God for salvation.

In Ephesians 1, we see the description of Jesus as the covenant man, appointed before the world began to mediate on our behalf. The covenant was established where Christ volunteered to fulfill all requirements for our salvation. Theologically, this means that God the Father and the Son entered into a divine agreement, with Jesus pledging to obey and take upon Himself the penalty for our sins. This truth underscores the assurance for believers that they are blessed and accepted in Christ, not based on their works, but on His perfect obedience and sacrifice. Therefore, Jesus being our covenant man is crucial for understanding the depth of our salvation.
