How do we know that Jesus is our Good Shepherd?

The truth that Jesus is our Good Shepherd is affirmed in Scripture, particularly in John 10:11, where He declares, 'I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.' This sacrificial act demonstrates the profound love He has for His people; He not only leads and guides us but also protects us at the highest cost. His shepherding is evidenced through His life and ministry, where He nurtures, comforts, and ultimately redeems us from sin and death. Therefore, our assurance comes from recognizing Him as the one who willingly bears our burdens.
