How do we know that Jesus is our Great Shepherd?

The designation of Jesus as our Great Shepherd is confirmed in various passages of Scripture. In Hebrews 13:20, He is referred to as the Great Shepherd of the sheep, while in John 10:11, it is stated that the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. This role encompasses His protective and guiding nature, where He made sacrificial atonement for the sins of His people. He provides spiritual nourishment and leads us to the ultimate fulfillment of eternal life, ensuring that none whom He has redeemed will perish.
