How do we know that Jesus is our High Priest who understands our temptations?

Answered in 1 source

Hebrews 4:15 affirms that Jesus was tempted in every way like us, yet did not sin, making Him our understanding High Priest.

The book of Hebrews, particularly Hebrews 4:14-16, emphasizes that Jesus is our Great High Priest who has experienced temptation in every respect as we have, yet without sin. This qualification allows Him to sympathize with our weaknesses. Jesus faced the full force of temptation, including the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, just as we do. His ability to resist these temptations demonstrates His perfect obedience and holiness. Because of His victory over sin and His experiences with temptation, we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that we will receive mercy and find grace to help in our times of need.
