How do we know that Jesus is our mediator?

Answered in 22 sources

Jesus is our mediator because He is the only one worthy to intercede for us, having taken our sins upon Himself and fulfilling the requirements of the law.

The New Testament portrays Jesus as our mediator, a role that is pivotal in the redemption of sinners. Revelation 5 reveals that He alone is worthy to take the book and open its seals, indicating His unique position and authority as not only a Lamb who was slain but also as the reigning King over all creation. The scripture outlines that it is through His sacrificial death and resurrection that He intercedes on behalf of those He has redeemed. His mediatorial work is affirmed in Hebrews 7:25, which states that He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. This assurance of Christ serving as our mediator provides comfort and hope, knowing that He fully understands our needs and advocates for us before the Father.
