How do we know that Jesus is our red heifer?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus fulfills the role of the red heifer through His perfect sacrifice and sinlessness.

We know that Jesus is our red heifer because He meets all the requirements set forth in Scripture for this sacrificial type. The characteristics of the red heifer—being without spot, blemish, and never having borne a yoke—parallel the attributes of Christ. He is described in 1 Peter 1:18-19 as a lamb without blemish, affirming His sinlessness. Furthermore, Christ, as the last Adam (in contrast to the first Adam), provides the perfect means of reconciliation for sinners, satisfying God's justice once and for all. Thus, His sacrificial death serves to cleanse us from our sins, affirming Him as our red heifer in the new covenant of grace.
