How do we know that Jesus is our Sabbath rest?

In Mark 2:27, Jesus states that 'the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath,' emphasizing that the Sabbath's true purpose is for rest and renewal found in Him. Christ fulfills the law and offers a greater rest than merely refraining from work; He provides spiritual rest through His finished work on the cross. As believers, we are called to focus on Jesus, our true rest, rather than strictly observing the Sabbath laws. This rest encompasses peace for our souls and liberation from the bondage of sin, making Christ the ultimate source of our rest and sustenance.
