How do we know that Jesus is the eternal Son of God?

The Gospel of John affirms Jesus' eternal nature, stating that He was in the beginning and that all things were made through Him (John 1:1-3). This highlights His equality with God, as described in Philippians 2:6, where Paul writes that Jesus, being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped.
