How do we know that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament?

Answered in 5 sources

Jesus is confirmed as the fulfillment of the Old Testament through His discussions with Moses and Elijah during the transfiguration.

In Luke 9:30-31, the conversation between Jesus, Moses, and Elijah emphasizes that Christ's mission and sacrifice were anticipated throughout the Old Testament. Jesus is the central figure that Moses wrote about; in Deuteronomy 18:18, Moses prophesies about the coming Prophet. Additionally, Acts 10:43 shows that all the prophets testified about Him. By discussing His impending death with these revered representatives of the Law and Prophets, it becomes clear that the entire Old Testament points to Jesus as the Messiah who fulfills the laws and prophecies.
