How do we know that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Passover?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus fulfills the Passover as our sacrificial Lamb, the ultimate sacrifice for sin, which the Passover lamb foreshadowed.

The Passover was a key event in Jewish history, symbolizing God's deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt. In John 12, as Jesus approaches His final Passover, it becomes evident that He is the ultimate fulfillment of this feast. The Apostle Paul explicitly states in 1 Corinthians 5:7 that 'Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed for us.' This proclamation underscores that the blood of Jesus, like the Passover lamb, provides deliverance from judgment and sin. By identifying Himself as the Passover Lamb, Jesus replaces the need for the ritual sacrifices of the Old Covenant, establishing a new covenant through His body and blood, which leads to eternal redemption. Thus, the Passover points directly to Christ as the one who delivers His people from the bondage of sin.
