How do we know that Jesus is the God-man?

Answered in 2 sources

We know Jesus is the God-man through the testimony of Scripture, which affirms both His divinity and humanity.

The dual nature of Christ as both God and man is clearly articulated in the Scriptures, particularly in the Gospels. John emphasizes the divinity of Christ, declaring in John 1:14 that 'the Word became flesh', while Luke focuses on His perfect humanity through numerous accounts of His life. Together, they illustrate that Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy and the Messiah who came to save humanity. The Gospel of Luke portrays Jesus not only as a man of compassion and faith but also as the sovereign Lord, demonstrating authority over all creation (Luke 8:25). This union of His natures is essential for our understanding of redemption; He must be both God to bear the weight of sin and man to represent humanity.
