How do we know that Jesus is the living water?

Answered in 4 sources

We know Jesus is the living water because He Himself declared it in Scripture, emphasizing that He eternally satisfies the spiritual thirst of His people.

Jesus explicitly identifies Himself as the living water during the Feast of Tabernacles, which commemorates God's provision for Israel in the wilderness. In John 4:14, Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that whoever drinks the water He gives will never thirst again, indicating that He is the ultimate source of spiritual satisfaction. This declaration is further supported by the prophets, such as Isaiah, who foreshadowed the coming of the Messiah as a provider of living water.
