How do we know that Jesus is the one thing needful in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is the one thing needful for eternal life, as He alone fulfills all our spiritual needs.

The necessity of Jesus in our lives is emphasized throughout Scripture. In Luke 10:42, Jesus tells Martha that Mary has chosen the 'good part,' referring to Himself. This highlights that amidst our many distractions, nothing else is as vital as our relationship with Christ. Paul also underscores this in Philippians 3:8, where he states he counts everything as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. Having Him means having the source of all grace, comfort, and eternal hope.
