How do we know that Jesus is the promised Redeemer?

Answered in 3 sources

The promise of the Redeemer, traced from Genesis to the New Testament, culminates in Jesus, who fulfills the prophecy of being born of a woman and coming to save mankind.

The Bible traces the promise of a Redeemer back to Genesis 3:15, where God declares enmity between the serpent and the woman’s seed. This foreshadowing is further expanded upon throughout the Scriptures, culminating in the New Testament revelation of Jesus Christ. As laid out in the genealogies and prophetic texts, Jesus fulfills the identity of the Redeemer, born of a woman, of the lineage of Abraham and David. His life, death, and resurrection correspond to the prophecies and expectations held by figures such as Job, affirming that Jesus is indeed the promised Savior who restores us to fellowship with God.
