How do we know that Jesus is the promised Savior?

Answered in 2 sources

We know Jesus is the promised Savior through His miraculous works and the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies.

The identity of Jesus as the promised Savior, or Messiah, is established through His fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and His miraculous actions during His ministry. In Matthew 11:3-6, Jesus points to His works—healing the sick and preaching the Gospel—as evidence of His divine mission. These signs align with prophecies in Isaiah, such as Isaiah 61, which foretold the Messiah's ministry to the poor and brokenhearted. As such, the miracles Jesus performed served as tangible evidence that He was indeed the one they had been waiting for. Moreover, the manner in which people responded to His works—many believed and followed Him—affirms His role as Savior.
