How do we know that Jesus is the prophet mentioned in the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus is the prophet because all He proclaimed came to pass, validating His divine authority.

In John 6:14, the people recognized Jesus after witnessing His miracles, declaring Him 'that prophet' foretold in Deuteronomy 18:15. This Old Testament prophecy indicated that God would raise up a prophet like Moses, whose words must be heeded. The critical test of a true prophet is that everything they proclaim will come to pass, as confirmed in Deuteronomy 18:21-22. Jesus fulfilled these conditions perfectly, thereby validating His role as the promised prophet and messenger from God, whose words and actions align with the divine will.
