How do we know that Jesus is the Savior according to Reformed theology?

Answered in 1 source

In Reformed theology, we understand Jesus as the Savior because He lived a perfect life and died for the sins of His chosen people.

According to Reformed beliefs, Jesus is identified as the Savior not only because of His existence but due to His perfect life and sacrificial death. He lived without sin, fulfilling God's righteous requirements for us. As stated in Romans 3:23, 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,' thus reinforcing the necessity for a Savior who could meet that standard. Moreover, Christ's atonement for the chosen is crucial; He bore the punishment for their sins, demonstrating God’s justifiable grace. His resurrection further solidifies His Savior role, proving divine approval of His redemptive work and ensuring that all who believe in Him will be saved.
