How do we know that Jesus is the source of living water?

Answered in 8 sources

Jesus is known as the source of living water through His fulfillment of prophecy and His declaration that He alone can satisfy spiritual thirst.

In the sermon, the preacher emphasizes that Jesus fulfills the prophetic images of living water demonstrated throughout Scripture, such as the flowing waters mentioned in the Old Testament. Jesus, in John 7:38, states that "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." This highlights that true belief in Christ leads to a transformative experience where believers not only receive the life-giving water but also become conduits of that same life to others. The Holy Spirit, given after Jesus' glorification, reinforces this truth by dwelling in believers, enabling them to understand and experience the fullness of life in Christ.
