How do we know that Jesus is the true king of Israel?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is recognized as the true king based on prophetic fulfillment and His divine anointment as the Son of God.

The acknowledgment of Jesus as the true king of Israel is rooted in both Old Testament prophecy and New Testament revelation. The prophets foretold a coming king from the line of David, and Jesus' lineage fulfills this promise. God's anointing of Christ is visibly marked at His birth, at His baptism where the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, and ultimately through His resurrection from the dead. Each of these events reinforces His position as the legitimate ruler, demonstrating that, despite human rejection, He remains sovereign and destined to rule over His people.
