How do we know that Jesus is the true Messiah?

Answered in 4 sources

We know Jesus is the Messiah because He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and delivered His people from sin through His sacrificial death.

The identity of Jesus as the Messiah is confirmed through the fulfillment of numerous Old Testament prophecies that pointed towards Him. The preachers in the early church, like Paul, testified that God sent Jesus, who was both God and man, to be the Savior of His people (1 Peter 2:9). The New Testament showcases Jesus as the embodiment of all previous biblical promises, culminating in His sacrificial death and victorious resurrection. According to Acts 17, Paul proclaimed that it was essential for the salvation of sinners that the Christ must suffer and arise from the dead. This substantiates Jesus's claim and identity as the true Messiah who accomplished God’s redemptive plan.
