How do we know that Jesus is the true Passover lamb?

In the Gospel of Mark 14 and other accounts, Jesus' institution of the Lord's Supper replaces the traditional Passover meal, affirming His role as the ultimate Passover lamb. The Old Testament Passover involved the sacrifice of a lamb whose blood spared the Israelites from judgment (Exodus 12:13). Jesus’ sacrifice fulfills this type, as He became the 'Lamb of God' whose blood was shed for the salvation of many (Mark 14:24). This theological significance points to the completeness of Christ's redemptive work, making Him the embodiment of what the Passover pointed to.
