How do we know that Jesus is worthy to open the book described in Revelation?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is worthy to open the book because He is the Lamb of God who was slain for our sins (Revelation 5:6).

Revelation 5 portrays a vision where no one is found worthy to open the sealed book until the Lion of the tribe of Judah, identified as Jesus, appears. This depiction highlights His sacrificial role as the Lamb who was slain, thus affirming His worthiness. His sacrifice grants Him both the power and authority to unlock divine mysteries and access the truths contained in the book. In doing so, He shows that He has overcome sin and death, making Him the only one capable of mediating between God and humanity.
