How do we know that Jesus loves us?

Answered in 7 sources

Jesus' love is exemplified in His relationships with individuals, as shown in John 11:5 where He is recorded to love Martha, Mary, and Lazarus.

In John 11:5, it is stated that Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, demonstrating that His love is personal and particular. This love is not universal in a vague sense but is directed toward those whom He has chosen. The assurance of Christ's love reassures believers in their faith; those whom He loves, He also saves (Romans 8:37-39). His love manifests itself in His redemptive work and the grace He extends to His people. Evidence of such love is experienced through faith, where individuals come to know His affection uniquely.
