How do we know that Jesus offers living water?

In John 4:14, Jesus assures the woman at the well that whoever drinks of the water He gives will never thirst again, for it will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. This promise signifies that the salvation offered through Christ is not temporary but everlasting.
