How do we know that Jesus offers peace?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus offers peace as a gift to His followers, regardless of their unworthiness or fear.

In the face of the disciples’ fear and doubt after His resurrection, Jesus appears to them and pronounces peace (John 20:19). He does this despite their unworthiness and lack of faith, demonstrating that His peace is not contingent on our actions but rather on His grace. This peace is a profound assurance that God is not angry with us; it affirms our reconciliation with Him through Christ. As believers, we can take comfort in knowing that His presence brings peace to our troubled hearts, regardless of our circumstances or internal struggles.
