How do we know that Jesus prays for us?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible clearly states that Jesus prays for His followers, as evidenced in John 17 and Luke 22.

In John 17, known as the High Priestly Prayer, Jesus explicitly prays for His disciples and all believers, emphasizing His desire for their unity and sanctification. Verse 9 states, 'I pray for them,' illustrating that Christ's intercessory work includes prayer for all who believe in Him. Additionally, in Luke 22:31-32, Jesus tells Peter that He has prayed for him specifically, that his faith may not fail. This personal intercessory prayer illustrates both Christ's intimate care for each believer and the security we have in His ongoing advocacy before God. Knowing that Jesus prays for us is a source of tremendous comfort and hope for Christians facing trials.
