How do we know that Jesus prepares a place for us?

Answered in 2 sources

Jesus declares that He goes to prepare a place for believers in His Father's house, assuring us of our eternal abode.

In John 14:2-3, Jesus asserts, 'In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.' This promise indicates His active role in preparing an eternal dwelling for each believer, emphasizing that they will have a place in heaven. Additionally, this preparation is rooted in Christ's redemptive work, ensuring that we are made fit for His presence through His righteousness and sacrificial death (1 Peter 1:4). Thus, the assurance lies in the character and faithfulness of Christ.
