How do we know that Jesus prepares a place for us?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus states in John 14:2-3 that He goes to prepare a place for His followers in His Father's house.

In John 14:2-3, Jesus declares, 'In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.' This preparation involves His redemptive work on the cross, where He bore our sins and made it possible for us to have eternal life with Him. The promise of a prepared place reassures believers of their eternal security and the certainty of their future in heaven. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of Christ's atoning sacrifice as the means of entering into this promised glory, as seen in Romans 8:32, which affirms that all whom Christ died for will ultimately be saved.
