How do we know that Jesus saves those who believe?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus saves because scripture assures us that belief in Him secures eternal life, as seen in John 5:24.

The assurance of salvation through belief in Jesus Christ is evident throughout scripture. John 5:24 states, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life." This passage underscores that belief is a critical component without which one cannot be saved. Furthermore, the sermon emphasizes that saving faith is a work of God; those whom He calls will naturally believe and respond to His word. Hence, it is not merely human belief but God’s work in the believer's heart that guarantees salvation.
