How do we know that Jesus will return for His people?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus assured His disciples of His return in John 14:3, promising to gather them to Himself.

The assurance of Christ's return is firmly rooted in Scripture. Jesus Himself stated in John 14:3, 'If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.' This promise not only emphasizes His intent to return but also assures believers of their eternal home with Him. Paul also reinforces this in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, assuring the church that the Lord will descend from heaven. The consistent biblical testimony provides firm evidence for the believer's hope in Christ's return.
