How do we know that justification by faith does not oppose good works?

Answered in 1 source

Justification by faith leads to a life characterized by good works, as authentic faith produces obedience to God (Ephesians 2:10).

The assertion that justification by faith opposes good works is a misunderstanding of the relationship between faith and obedience. Ephesians 2:8-10 clarifies that while we are saved by grace through faith apart from works, we are also created in Christ Jesus to do good works that God prepared in advance for us. Thus, saving faith inherently leads to a transformation that manifests in a life of obedience. Justification does not discard the necessity of good works; rather, it fulfills and undergirds them, as genuine faith results in a desire to live righteously and faithfully according to God's commandments.
