How do we know that love is more important than knowledge?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that knowledge can lead to pride, but love builds up and is essential for true relationships among believers.

In 1 Corinthians 8:1, Paul states, 'Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.' While knowledge is valuable, it can create pride and division among believers. True spiritual knowledge should lead us to love, which is the greatest commandment. When we prioritize love over knowledge, we embody the character of Christ, who demonstrated perfect love by laying down His life for us. Thus, it's critical that our knowledge translates into a loving relationship with our brethren, affording them respect and care rather than causing harm.
