How do we know that mercy is available to all who seek it?

Answered in 1 source

Mercy is available to all who approach God in faith and humility, as He promises to accept the repentant.

The Bible reassures us that mercy is extended to all who seek the Lord, summarized well in Lamentations 3:22-23, which states that God's mercies are new every morning. In the story of Abigail and Nabal, Abigail's urgent plea for mercy on behalf of her household illustrates this principle. She interceded based on the understanding that the king, David, represented compassion and mercy. Just as David accepted Abigail’s gifts and her humble approach, so too does God through Christ offer acceptance to those who come in faith. Jesus exemplifies this in John 6:37, where He promises that whoever comes to Him will never be cast out. Therefore, God’s mercy is not restricted but universally accessible to those who acknowledge their need for it.
