How do we know that ministers are called from the local church?

The concept of a double call to ministry is supported by both an inner desire of the individual and the external affirmation from the local church. As highlighted in 1 Timothy 3:1, a man aspiring to be a bishop desires a good work. The local church recognizes those who exhibit pastoral gifts, affirming their call to serve.
