The belief that miracles still happen today is rooted in the understanding of God's continual work in the lives of His people. Just as John the Baptist experienced a miraculous filling with the Holy Spirit even in his mother's womb (Luke 1:15), so too does God perform the miracle of regeneration in the hearts of believers today.
