How do we know that no one can be saved by keeping the law?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible clearly states that no one can be justified by the law's works.

Scripture extensively affirms that salvation cannot be achieved through the observance of the law. In Galatians 2:16, Paul writes, 'Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ.' This central tenet of the Reformed faith highlights that the law's primary role is not to save but to illustrate the need for grace through Jesus Christ. Romans 10:4 further clarifies, 'For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.' Therefore, our compliance with the law can never secure our salvation, as demonstrated by the consistent teaching of scripture.
