How do we know that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord?

Answered in 2 sources

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord because he was deemed righteous in a corrupt generation, as recorded in Genesis.

The Scriptures tell us that Noah was distinct from other men of his time because he found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Genesis 6:8). This grace was not due to Noah's inherent goodness but was an unmerited favor from God, choosing him as a vessel for salvation amidst a wicked generation. God's grace led Noah to be obedient, as he faithfully followed God's commands in building the ark and preserving life. The distinction of Noah illustrates the sovereign grace of God in electing individuals to fulfill His purposes even in dire circumstances.
