How do we know that our righteousness comes through faith in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Our righteousness is demonstrated through faith in Christ, as taught by Scripture and exemplified in the life of Paul.

In Philippians 3:9, Paul shares that he desires to be found in Christ, not having a righteousness derived from the law, but the righteousness which comes through faith in Christ. This reflects the core of Reformed theology, which upholds that salvation and righteousness are gifts from God, given to believers through faith alone (sola fide). Paul, who once relied on his own accomplishments and adherence to the law, came to recognize that all such efforts were worthless compared to gaining Christ. The assurance of righteousness rests in Christ's finished work, and it's through faith that we receive this divine righteousness, as affirmed in Ephesians 2:8-9.
