How do we know that our salvation comes from being hewn from the rock?

The assurance of our salvation derives from the unchanging nature of God and the work of Christ, our rock. In Isaiah 51, we are called to remember that we are cut from an unmovable rock, which reflects God's sovereign grace in choosing us for salvation. The New Testament reaffirms this when it identifies Christ as the rock (1 Corinthians 10:4). This connection underscores that our solace and strength are solely dependent on the efficacy of Christ’s redemptive work, given once for all time.
