How do we know that our service is acceptable to God?

Answered in 1 source

Our service is acceptable to God only through faith in Christ (1 Peter 2:5).

The Bible clearly teaches that our ability to please God and have our works accepted is contingent upon our faith in Christ. In 1 Peter 2:5, we see that as living stones, we are built up a spiritual house to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. This means that irrespective of our deeds, it is the righteousness of Christ that ultimately validates our service before God. Our good works flow from faith and are empowered by the Holy Spirit, making them pleasing in God’s sight.
