How do we know that our sins are covered?

Answered in 1 source

Our sins are covered through God's grace, as He chooses to forget them and sees us in the righteousness of Christ.

The concept of sin being covered means that God does not see our sin when we are in Christ. Psalm 32 states, 'Blessed are those whose sins are covered.' This implies that while we may be aware of our transgressions, God, in His mercy, chooses to cover our sins with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. He casts our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19), illustrating the complete removal of guilt from our account, allowing us to stand justified before Him.
