How do we know that our worship should come from the heart?

Answered in 1 source

The sincerity of our worship is crucial, as it reflects our relationship with God.

Worship that is not grounded in the heart is meaningless; God desires genuine devotion from His people. Jesus pointed out that the Pharisees honored Him with their lips, yet their hearts were far from Him (Matthew 15:8). This shows that outward signs of worship, such as attendance or rituals, mean little if they do not stem from a genuine love and devotion towards God. The heart must be engaged in worship, allowing us to grow in grace and knowledge as we seek Him sincerely.
