How do we know that peace with God is ours?

Answered in 1 source

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, secured by His blood.

Romans 5:1 declares, 'Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' This peace is a direct result of our justification, which was accomplished by Christ's sacrificial death on the cross. The enmity that existed between us and God due to our sin has been removed through the reconciliation brought by Christ (Colossians 1:20). This peace is not temporary; it is a permanent state granted to all who believe in Him. We can rest assured that this reconciliation means God is no longer angry with us but instead views us as His beloved children, marking the end of hostility and the beginning of a loving relationship.
