How do we know that prayer is a privilege for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is a privilege because it is made possible by the sacrifice of Christ, who invites all believers to enter into God's presence.

The Bible clearly declares that the ability to pray is a privilege afforded to believers through Christ’s atoning sacrifice. In Hebrews 10:19, we are instructed to approach God boldly due to our High Priest, Jesus Christ. This signifies that our access to God is not based on our merit but solely through the blood of Christ. Notably, prayer was once limited to the high priest's annual entrance into the Holy of Holies, but through Jesus, the veil was torn, granting all believers access. Thus, the right to pray should not be taken lightly, for it is a divine invitation to communion with God.
