How do we know that preachers are called by God?

Answered in 3 sources

A preacher's calling is evidenced by their deep understanding of Scripture and the ability to communicate it clearly under God's anointing.

A man called by God to preach will often have a profound sense of his anointing and calling, recognized both by himself and his congregation. Hebrews 5:4 states that no one takes this honor upon themselves, but must be called by God, indicating a divine initiation. Additionally, a true preacher will be thoroughly prepared for the work, having been shaped by God's grace and providential dealings in their life. The ability to teach and explain the Scriptures clearly is also a sign of God's calling on their life, as they become vessels through which God's truth is shared with others.
