How do we know that prosperity is not an indication of God's blessing?

Answered in 1 source

Prosperity can lead one to believe they are blessed by God, but true blessedness is rooted in spiritual conditions rather than material wealth.

The sermon emphasizes that prosperity, ease, or wealth is not necessarily indicative of God's blessing. Instead, blessings are understood through spiritual realities. In the case of Canaan and his descendants, they experienced significant earthly success, yet were under God's curse. Conversely, believers should recognize that true blessedness involves forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and the hope of eternal glory. As stated in Romans 8:28-30, God orchestrates all things for the good of those who love Him, which may include trials that lead to spiritual growth.
