How do we know that reading scripture leads to salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture alone facilitates faith, and through faith, we attain salvation in Christ.

The relationship between scripture and salvation is encapsulated in 2 Timothy 3:15, which states that the holy scriptures are able to make one wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. This means that while reading the Bible does not save in and of itself, it is the means God uses to instill faith in us. Hearing the gospel proclaimed, as well as personal study of the word, fosters belief and understanding of Christ’s redemptive work, leading ultimately to salvation. Thus, scripture must be central to every believer's life.
