How do we know that salvation by grace does not lead to a sinful life?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation by grace results in a new identity in Christ, leading believers to live for righteousness rather than sin.

The doctrine of grace teaches that salvation is entirely unearned and bestowed freely by God. Paul makes it clear that those who are genuinely justified by grace experience a radical transformation. In Romans 6:2, he asks rhetorically how those who have died to sin can live in it any longer. This speaks to the profound change that grace enacts within a believer, breaking the power of sin over their lives. Rather than leading to a lifestyle of sin, grace leads to a life characterized by righteousness and good works, as those who are saved strive to live in accordance with their new identity in Christ.
