How do we know that salvation comes from God's grace?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible asserts that salvation is entirely by God's grace, not by human effort or merit.

Salvation is described as an act of God's unmerited favor towards sinners, clearly illustrated in passages like Ephesians 2:8-9, where Paul writes, 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.' This grace is demonstrated when God chooses to regenerate a person through the Holy Spirit, awakening their faith in Christ. In Hezekiah’s narrative, we see God’s grace in action as He hears Hezekiah's cries and responds with mercy, underscoring that redemption and life are solely gifts from God. Therefore, the assurance of salvation rests securely in God's sovereign grace rather than any works of our own.
